Today, January 19, Washington DC Democrats had delegate selection caucuses. These votes were for delegate candidates only, to rank various individuals running for Delegate. Clinton supporters voted in two caucuses (divided by Wards) to elect Clinton delegates. Obama supporters voted in two caucuses to elect Obama delegates, etc. Basically, the vote was about which individuals will be part of the DC delegation to the Denver Convention. Part of my job is that I have to go to the Post Office every day. Mondays are the worst as I usually have boxes to ship to foreign countries, customs & other forms to fill out, postage to buy and other tasks to do. Sometimes I'm at the postal counter for 10 minutes or more. The lines are worst on Mondays too. For the record, I've been wearing an Barack Obama button almost every day to the Post Office.
Happy New Year & PLEASE FORWARD
1. Dates to remember:
I was shoicked to read this morning that one of my political gurus, Bill Strauss, passed away yesterday from pancreatic cancer. He was 60.
It's hard to be objective about the other campaigns in New Hampshire but after knocking on about 95 doors of Democratic & Independent voters for Obama in NH this weekend it seems like it is a three tier race, Clinton & Obama are on top. Distinctly in back are Edwards & Richardson and everybody else is nowhere.

This will be my fourth trip to New Hampshire canvassing voters for Obama. I've been here for 8 hours & I can tell already that voters are now focusing on the race & getting engaged.
